“In this historical moment, we wanted to make our communication more engaging and enjoyable, wishing to create a strong emotional bond between Pordenone Fiere and its public, so we thought of a mascot! When I turned to my friends at PAFF! to design it together with them, they asked me only one question: what is your favourite animal? I answered immediately: the hippopotamus!” Renato Pujatti, president of Pordenone Fiere, thus describes the creation of Fiero, a friendly hippopotamus born from the creativity of Emanuele Barison, a well-known cartoonist from Pordenone, a historic collaborator of “Topolino” and illustrator of TEX, the most famous cowboy in Italian comics. “We thought of him as a character who loves to be in company, cheerful, friendly and welcoming: all characteristics that convey a message of inclusiveness, one of the most important values for us – continues Pujatti – but Fiero is also very proud to represent the values of our company: strength, determination and team spirit”.
